Lieuwe Bos

Lieuwe is a clinician scientist working at Amsterdam University Medical Center. He trained as a pulmonologist and currently is pursuing a fellowship in intensive care. Lieuwe combines his clinical work with research into precision medicine approaches to improve outcomes of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and pneumonia. He holds a position as associate professor and co-chairs the Laboratory of Experimental Intensive Care and Anesthesiology (LEICA). His research group consists of 10 PhD students and 1 post-doctoral researcher. Dr. Bos recently received grants from the Dutch Lung Foundation, ZonMW, the European Respiratory Society, and the European Union. He has published more than 250 PubMed-indexed articles, mainly related to ARDS.
