Nuala Meyer

Nuala, MD MS is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for Translational Lung Biology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She received her B.S. from Yale University and her M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she also completed an internal medicine residency, chief residency, and pulmonary and critical care fellowship. At Penn, she completed a Master of Science in Translational Research. Her research program is focused on molecular risk factors for acute respiratory distress syndrome and other forms of sepsis-associated organ failure, in order to identify biological subtypes that may warrant precision treatments. In addition, she is a critical care trialist testing therapies for sepsis and ARDS, including COVID-19.
