Sylvie Pons

As a biochemist by training, Sylvie works in the field of research and validation of host response biomarkers to improve patient diagnosis. After many years of involvement in biomarker discovery studies using mass spectrometry in the cancer context, she is currently responsible for biomarker research projects in infectious diseases contexts, particularly in pediatric patients. Their aim is to evaluate and validate clinically significant and medically relevant biomarkers of host response, with a medical impact on the clinical management of patients. Working in a joint research unit shared between bioMérieux and the Hospices Civils of Lyon, they are close to clinicians and patients to carry out our research. Their work is essential to improving our understanding of host responses and contributing to more effective and targeted healthcare.
