Alexander Vlaar
Alexander, Ph.D., MD, MBA, is a professor of Intensive Care Medicine (H-index: 40, > 7.500 citations, > 300 articles) and principal investigator in intensive care medicine. His research fits under the umbrella of translational intensive care medicine. He works as an intensivist in the Amsterdam UMC, Amsterdam, and has extensive experience in the design and execution of large national and international multicenter trials. His research has been awarded with many scientific awards, such as the Heineken Young Scientist Award for Medicine 2014 from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
