Peiling Yap

Peiling is HealthAI's Chief Scientist. She co-steers the scientific direction of HealthAI and is currently focusing on the translation of global regulatory considerations for AI solutions in health into local practice. She has worked with partners worldwide on research topics such as pandemic preparedness and response, open health, antimicrobial resistance, and maternal and child health. Her recent research focuses on using the mixed methodology in implementing and evaluating both analog and digital public health interventions. Before joining HealthAI, Peiling worked as a Senior Epidemiologist at the National Center for Infectious Diseases in Singapore and as an Epidemiologist at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, where she also earned her PhD in Epidemiology.
